چکیده

Study was carried out for determining the reaction of 83 peppers varieties, breeding lines, and local forms /landraces/ to fungal pathogen Verticillium dahliae Kleb. as they are part Balkan Capsicum core collection which deeply phenotyped in recent years. The development disease reported twice high degree resistance 41 accessions. highest percentage highly resistant group genotypes 72%, followed by with 23%. infestation groups medium sensitive, sensitive respectively 1%, 3%, 1%. (0 - 19%), (20 39%) (40 59%) consisted var. blocky, ratundum kapia (60 79%) dominated blocky. Materials from prevail (80 100%). pungent accessions more infestation. On base current previous results may concluded that four were identified TMV non-infested while two ones possessed low green aphids, trips cotton bollworm non-attacked Verticillium. Other seven combined lack wilt levels three agronomic biochemical traits.

Genetic dissection of Verticillium wilt resistance mediated by tomato Ve1.

Vascular wilt diseases caused by soil-borne pathogens are among the most devastating plant diseases worldwide. The Verticillium genus includes vascular wilt pathogens with a wide host range. Although V. longisporum infects various hosts belonging to the Cruciferaceae, V. dahliae and V. albo-atrum cause vascular wilt diseases in over 200 dicotyledonous species, including economically important c...

Accounting for biotic spatial variability in fields: Case of resistance screening against sunflower Verticillium wilt

In breeding for disease resistance, the magnitude of the genetic response is difficult to appreciate because of environmental stresses that interact with the plant genotype. We discuss herein the fundamental problems in breeding for disease resistance with the aim being to better understand the interactions between plant, pathogen, and spatial patterns. The goal of this study is to fine tune br...

Fungicide Screening for Control of Verticillium Wilt of Peppermint

The ability of selected modern fungicides and other products to reduce Verticillium dahliae growth and disease development was tested. In the laboratory, the fungicides Quadris (active ingredient: azoxystrobin), Benlate (a.i.: benomyl), Vanguard (a.i.: cyprodinil), and Folicur (a.i.: tebuconazole) were added to an agar medium in different concentrations and the growth of V. dahliae was measured...

Selection for verticillium wilt resistance in potato breeding populations derived from four cross types

Verticillium wilt (VW) is one of the important yield-limiting diseases for potato production. To develop resistant clones, the potential for early generation selection was studied using three basic selection methods, individual, family, and within family selection, for two clonal generations. A total of 152 clones were derived from four cross types (2x · 2x, 2x · 4x, 4x · 2x and 4x · 4x). Clone...

Genetic Structure, Linkage Disequilibrium and Association Mapping of Verticillium Wilt Resistance in Elite Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) Germplasm Population

Understanding the population structure and linkage disequilibrium in an association panel can effectively avoid spurious associations and improve the accuracy in association mapping. In this study, one hundred and fifty eight elite cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) germplasm from all over the world, which were genotyped with 212 whole genome-wide marker loci and phenotyped with an disease nursery ...
